English Rules

Live Auction Rules
During the Live Auction, a number of items will be ordered for bidding. Each item will be described by the Auctioneer and a starting bid amount will be given.

The bidder should raise his or her program displaying the bidder number, thus signaling to the Auctioneer or one of the spotters. The spotters are there to relay bids to the Auctioneer.

The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the buyer. In the event of any dispute, the Auctioneer will have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or re-order and resell the item in dispute.

The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid that, in his opinion, is not commensurate with the value of the ordered item.

On the “fall of the Auctioneer’s hammer,” title to the item will pass to the highest bidder. The Auctioneer’s decision as to the successful bidder is final.

Upon final decision of a winning bid for a Live Auction item, the winning bidder will be presented with a Lot Receipt for their signature to include their bidder number and the price of the item purchased.

Silent Auction Rules
Items in the Silent Auction will have Silent Auction bid sheets on the table near the items. To bid on an item, bidders must write their bidder number and bid amount on the form beside the item.

Bidders do not have to take the next available bid amount, but may skip ahead and place a higher bid to try to obtain the item. Subsequent bidders must bid higher amounts to be successful.

Items will be awarded to the highest bidder at the closing of the Silent Auction. Winner paddle numbers will be posted by the Silent Auction tables at the close of the event.

Please do not remove bid sheets, items or props from the tables.

Please go to the Check-out table before you leave this evening.

Our volunteers will present you with Bidding Record, a list of your successful bids for both the Live and Silent Auction. Please check the lot number, item and final bidding price of your purchases. Please use the copy presented to you during the Live Auction to confirm your winning lots at the time of Check-out.

Payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer. Payment must be received by December 1, 2017.

Item(s) will be shipped out cash on delivery (chakubarai) upon payment. Please confirm your delivery address printed on your Auction Registration form.

Please understand that there may be delays during busy periods at the Check-out table. Your cooperation and respect for TELL volunteers is most appreciated.

Receiving your winnings
Live Auction Items: Only limited items won will be available at the event. The slip the winning bidder has signed will indicate whether or not the item is available to be taken home on the night. These items may be picked up at the Silent Auction area at the end of the event. Otherwise, items will be sent to the winning bidder during the week following the event, unless otherwise noted, upon verification of payment.

Silent Auction items: All items, or certificates for items will be available to take home. Please go to the Silent Auction table with your verification of payment to pick up your items. If you prefer to have your items shipped, please let check out know.
